Let me introduce you to Allison of The Herbal Prescriptive.

Allison and I recently connected on social media. I watched as she helped neighbors and clients during and after Hurricane Helene. She lives in the Appalachian region.

Allison is a Doctor of Pharmacy, botanist, herbalist, forager, functional pharmacist, and storyteller. She is on a mission to transform our fractured healthcare system.

I recently came across an article Allison wrote about measles, so I reached out to her to ask if I could share her post. As a pharmacist our training never reviewed treatment of measles. Life experience also did not teach me about the disease, as I had not treated a patient with it, or was it a disease in my household. to understand this virus and to review how it was once treated, I called an old pharmacist that has always been a personal mentor.
